Welcome to the Eastleigh Southern Parishes PBC locality

Since 2006, the Government has been challenging GP practices to become involved with Practice Based Commissioning (PBC).  PBC places primary care professionals including GPs, nurses and practice teams at the heart of decision making regarding the commissioning of services. The Eastleigh Southern Parishes team is in the best position to translate the patient needs into redesigning existing services and creating new services that deliver what the local people need.

Five practices and a specialist local patient group across Hamble, Bursledon, Hedge End, Botley and Bishopstoke form the Practice Based Commissioning locality.  There is a regular monthly meeting to steer the work of the group, monitor progress of projects and discuss local health issues.
